It has been a very long Winterspringsummer, almost the complete name of the Indian Princess in Peter Pan, just minus the fall. In Florida, it all blends into one season to begin with; this season of Coronavirus makes it even more like one continuous moment. Things were loosening up a little, some variation in the theme, and then I found out that someone I had spent some concentrated time with had tested positive for the Coronavirus. The timing was dissected, and I now must quarantine to protect others from me. I took a test for the antibodies both the immediate ones that fight the virus when the body realizes it is under attack, and the ones the baby creates over a longer term to shore up immunity against this now known enemy. Those results were negative. I also took the Coronavirus test, and will find out those results in a few days.
It seems to come down to a stuttering rhythm of stop, start...stop....start, stop, etc. I miss being in a room with people. I thrive on the energy of busy people who are creating, striving and on their way! After one vacation to a clm and relaxing tropical beach, I got home to New York City and went to stand in the center of Grand Central Station at rush hour. It was glorious. The energy and emotions and sheer LIFE. I cannot wait for large gatherings to be safe again. In the meantime I continue to write and paint and will be able to be with people again in a few days.
