It is the simplest thing, an idea. We say, "It is just a thought..", as if there is no power there. We say it like that so others will look at it, and perhaps try out the thinking of it. A conversation may ensue. It could be a highly creative one, with people chiming in, "Yes, and...", or it might be mildly musing and have a lot of "What ifs." It could even have, No. But.." and perhaps there will be some just plain "Wrong! Stop. Don't think that!" Because an idea is the thing that starts something, bringing something new into being.Or it changes what is , gradually and over time. Ideas arouse and incite passion. Passion leads to action; simple, gentle musings lead to action. We create as we have ideas.
There are days when the idea of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch is just right. So you get bread and peanut butter and jelly, and there you have it! There are days when trying to reach as many people as possible to wish them cheer is the thought that leads to action, Happy New Year, everyone! And there seem to be days and days of thoughts that lead to political conflict, or religious oppression. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states in article 18."Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion,..." L. Ron Hubbard said, "Human rights must be made a reality, not just an idealistic dream." Education is a powerful action to take. YouthforHumanRights.org
