Cinderella, a Modern Ballet was danced by Tampa City Ballet on Friday night the 26th of March in the Courtyard of the Church of Scientology of Tampa. It was magic. There were more than 250 people gathered, but masked and socially distanced, to enjoy the art of storytelling through dance. The dance was interwoven with modern and classical idioms, of romance and comedy. The evil Stepmother and Step Sisters were laugh out loud funny, and yet beautiful to watch, Cinderella and her prince were romantic and lovely to watch.
During the time of Coronavirus, The Church of Scientology of Tampa has been delighted to offer live performance to our community, and are honored to have the talent and artistry offered by the Tampa City Ballet, under the Artistic Direction of Paula Nunez, with Scientology parishioner and artist Ruben Celiberti acting as liaison and coordinator. Art brings us together as a community and lifts us up. "A culture is only as great as its dreams, and its dreams are dreamed by artists.", L. Ron Hubbard
