Primary InfertilityMrs. F (34Y) and Mr. Y (37yrs) came to the clinic with 8yrs of primary infertility after the initial investigations she was diagnosed with PCOD with irregular menstrual cycles. She had a Laparoscopy done 2yrs ago but had not conceived. She was also overweight and has facial hair and acne. Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is an endocrine disorder that affects approximately 5% of all women. This is the most common hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age, and is a leading cause of infertility.Mrs F was put on a weight loss regime, which consisted of weight loss, exercise and medication. She conceived naturally with just tablets in 3 months. Recent scan showed a single gestation sac of 12 weeks gestation.

EndometriosisA couple by name X and Y aged 36 and 40 year old approached SWH (UNIT OF SWCIC) with the problem of infertility. They have been married 13 years. All these years they were trying with various doctors and different alternative medicines. None of them resulted into pregnancy and they lost hope. Wife had a Laparoscopy which revealed a fixed pelvis.At the SWC we did a Hysteroscopy and released adhesions present inside the uterus. She conceived in the first cycle of IVF and is now pregnant with twins.
Unexplained InfertilityMr. and Mrs. AB aged 40yrs and 48yrs respectively, married life of 20years and have 1 child aged 18yrs. Husband’s count was normal and a diagnosis of unexplained infertility was made.Mrs AB had failed to conceive in the following years and was anxious to have an IVF done.
