BENGALURU, INDIA, May 22, 2023 -- Lucky Ali, one of the leading names in the indiepop industry, set a major milestone in the industry after releasing his maiden album Sunoh in 1996.

It was special in many ways. The unique honey-smooth husky voice was pleasant to hear. The music video of O Sanam mesmerized viewers. The music arrangement was highly sophisticated. And the lyrics were deeply meaningful.

After that, Lucky Ali became a household name. His enigmatic and mystic personality piqued the curiosity of many and the media provided regular doses of news about him. Mikey McCleary, the music arranger and engineer, entered the Indian music scene and became a successful music composer. It also opened doors for Mahesh Mathai, the director of 'O Sanam' video, who has since then made two critically-acclaimed movies and is working on the biopic of celebrated Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma. But not many people know about the lyricist and his story.

Syed Aslam Noor's memoir “My Journey in Lyrics & Music,” which was published in 2021, tells everything about his life story, how he collaborated with Lucky Ali, how they created all songs in Sunoh, Sifar, and many other songs in Aks, Gori Teri Aakhen Kahe, Love at Times Square, and more.

In the last two years, the book has delighted many fans and it received good reviews. To commemorate the 51st birthday of the lyricist, the memoir is available for free on Amazon Kindle from May 22 at 12 am PDT (or May 22 at 12:30 pm IST) till May 26 at 11:59 pm PDT (or May 27 at 12:29 pm IST).
