Although India has vastly developed as a country it still retains its age old culture. You go out of the larger cities of the country and visit the countryside or even the smaller towns and you will see a completely different India. And this contrast is not exhibited better than in Rajasthan. On one hand you have large and modern cities like Jaipur and on the other hand you have wilderness and the desert of Rajasthan. It is best to start your honeymoon in Rajasthan Jaipur because you will get the flavour of the whole state.

Jaipur is a nice city to explore. You can spend a day touring the city with a visit to Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Ensure that you do some shopping in the market. Next stop in your honeymoon in Rajasthan should be at Mount Abu, beautiful hill station in the state. Then follow it up with a sightseeing trip to Udaipur, the city of lakes. As far as Uttarakhand is concerned it is home to the most famous hill stations of India. Among the best known hill stations in this state are Nainital, Binsar, Kausani, Mussoorie, Dehradun and Auli. But it is not just hill stations in the list of tourist places in Uttarakhand. Haridwar is one of the most important cities of Hindu religion and it is an amazing experience to stay in this city for a day and see what people do at the Holy Ganges. The evening Aarti with lights and sound is a beautiful experience to have.

Among the other holy tourist places in Uttarakhand are Kailash Mansarovar and Gangotri. It is believed that bathing in the Mansarovar Lake can purify the soul of sins. And Gangotri is the origin point of River Ganga, the holiest river in the Hindu religion. You can also include a visit to the Corbett National Park in your itinerary. Named after the legendary hunter Jim Corbett this national park is famous for its safaris.
