Singapore, 29 November 2023 — The Sustainable Singapore Gallery at Marina Barrage invites you to LITE-UP 2023 on Saturday, 9 December from 1pm to 9pm. Discover the importance of conserving and using sustainable energy sources and how you can take meaningful actions and act responsibly towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient world.
LITE-UP 2023 is jam-packed with a myriad of engaging activities such as a Quest for an Energy-Lite City, a Tour in the Dark, Fringe Activities, a Makers’ Market and Film Screenings. LITE-UP 2023 aims to empower people to be prepared in facing and mitigating a real-world challenge on the environment — non-renewable energy.

The Final Sanctum
Sustainable Singapore Gallery, Level 2

Taking place in a world broken from environmental destruction, embark on a Quest for an Energy-Lite City with your friends as a group of scavengers on a mission to find sustainable energy sources made by The Mad Tinkerer to power up your camp and light up the world. Tour in the Dark

Leave a hidden message to a friend that will reveal itself when put over a flame!

FILM SCREENING

Melting Greenland (11 mins)
Climate activists and reporters visit Greenland to witness climate change effects, talk to locals and experts, and film melting ice sheets. This resulting film is a compelling plea to address the climate crisis.

This 1,618 square-metre gallery, located on the second floor of the Marina Barrage, is organised into six zones, each providing information about a different aspect of sustainability in Singapore.
