The Bolger Foundation is pleased to announce that Fall 2022 challenge grant recipient Selah Freedom has successfully met their required fundraising quota of $25,000. The nonprofit anti-human trafficking organization will now receive $12,500 in funding from The Bolger Foundation. The money will be used to purchase a new minivan in which to transport survivors of trafficking and in support of their mission to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to those thus exploited.

Based in Sarasota, FL, and the Midwest, Selah Freedom is considered to be the model for how to bring solutions to survivors of human trafficking. Their comprehensive approach centers around five programs: Awareness, Prevention, Outreach, Residential, and Organizational Consulting.

Selah is a Hebrew word meaning to pause, rest, and reflect; Selah Freedom seeks to offer trafficking survivors a chance to do exactly that as they recover and begin to heal.

JT Bolger, president of The Bolger Foundation, noted that Selah Freedom reached their fundraising goal in January, which is recognized as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.

“The Bolger Foundation is committed to helping those in need,” he said. “Selah Freedom’s work is paramount to putting an end to sex trafficking and helping survivors to overcome their trauma and rebuild their lives.”
