In life hard work can make your dreams a reality; while lack of hard work can crush the dreams of any man. Businessmen like Reza Mokhtarian are showing that “persistence, ambition, drive and momentum are all key ingredients to a successful venture of any kind.” A mostly self-educated businessman since the age of 16, Reza Mokhtarian is a Toronto based entrepreneur, philanthropist and businessman. Known by his savvy touch with capital, Reza is determined to give back to the world in rough economic times just like he was once given a chance.
After fleeing “war torn” Iran in the late 1980s, Reza watched his father work 12 hour shifts as a dishwasher while barely making ends meet. This allowed him to not only appreciate the value of money but understand that you have to have “persistence, drive and momentum” to be successful. Armed with this knowledge, Reza Mokhtarian decided to sacrifice his teenage years to start a hardware/software company, R.M. Enterprises out of the basement of his parent’s house. Instead of going to parties and football games, Reza was laying the ground work to his future career, a Venture Capitalist and CEO of his own private equity fund. Reza was also instrumental in bringing many of today’s ideas into Toronto. He has always been one step ahead of the game when it came to capitalizing on a niche market.

Currently Mokhtarian works long hours, traveling all over North America to oversee the daily operations of his equity fund. When asked about his edge in business Reza replies, “I generate capital and that is what I do best. I know how to position myself and capitalize on any situation.” Already in 2012 Mokhtarian is positioned to be a “mover and shaker” around the globe.
