West Palm Beach, FL – This October, Integrated Healthcare Systems (IHCS) proudly presents the 3rd Annual Conquer Every Color of Cancer event, a special day dedicated to raising awareness and support for all types of cancer. Scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024, this event will take place in partnership with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Florida Mobile Mammography, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and other community organizations. The event promises to be a day full of education, empowerment, and community spirit.

Bringing the Community Together for a Greater Cause

Now in its third year, the Conquer Every Color of Cancer event shines a light on the various forms of cancer, represented by a spectrum of colors, while providing valuable health resources to the community. Whether you or a loved one have been affected by cancer or you're attending to show support, this event offers something for everyone.

The day will include free health screenings, information booths, and a chance for attendees to engage with healthcare professionals. In collaboration with Florida Mobile Mammography, free mammograms will be provided to encourage early detection of breast cancer. The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center will offer critical information about cancer prevention, treatment options, and available support services.

Joining the event are One Blood, offering blood donations for cancer patients, and The Charmettes Incorporated, an organization dedicated to cancer awareness and research. Together, these partners ensure that the community receives the health support it needs and that no one faces cancer alone.

A Day of Fun, Support, and Celebration

While education is at the heart of this event, IHCS believes in the importance of community and celebration. Attendees can enjoy a day of fun with Big Man’s BBQ providing delicious food, City Sweets serving signature desserts and live music from local radio station The Flame 104.7. Wawa will be on-site offering refreshments, and Costco Wholesale has generously contributed to ensure attendees are comfortable throughout the day.

This event is not only about raising awareness—it’s about celebrating life, community, and hope for a future without cancer. Individuals and families from all walks of life are invited to join in this powerful day of unity and support.

The Colors of Cancer

Each form of cancer is represented by a specific color, from pink for breast cancer to blue for colon cancer, purple for pancreatic cancer, and gold for childhood cancer. The Conquer Every Color of Cancer event honor those fighting or who have fought against the disease while raising awareness of the importance of early detection and preventive care.

Health Screenings and Educational Resources

Florida Mobile Mammography will offer free mammograms, a crucial service for early breast cancer detection, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, alongside other healthcare partners, will provide educational resources on cancer prevention, treatments, and support. Attendees can learn more about cancer risk factors, lifestyle changes to reduce risks, and the importance of regular health screenings.

Supporting Cancer Patients in Our Community

This event provides a platform to support those currently battling cancer. By partnering with organizations like One Blood and The Charmettes Incorporated, attendees will have the opportunity to donate blood and support cancer research, directly impacting patients in need. Every action taken at this event contributes to the fight against cancer, making a tangible difference in the lives of many.
