Clearwater, FL – The Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization is hosting a Charity Coalition Luncheon on April 16th, 2025 at 11:30am in the Fort Harrison Crystal Ballroom. Nonprofits are invited to network with like-minded individuals while enjoying a lunch prepared by the Fort Harrison’s award-winning chefs.
The Charity Coalition was started in 2014 to bring charity groups in the community together to network, exchange information, ideas, share resources, collaborate and contribute to each other’s impact.
In this upcoming Charity Coalition, a guest speaker from the nonprofit community will discuss the field of fundraising, covering tips and advices to improve fundraising strategies.
According to a 2023 survey done by the St. Petersburg Foundation, nearly half of the nonprofits surveyed said they did not meet their fundraising goals for the past 3 years. Additionally, only 50% of nonprofits are successful, and 30% of these cease to exist after ten years, according to a blog from Network Depot. Whether its donor fatigue, economic downturns or inadequate Board engagement, there are ways to increase donations which will be covered at the Charity Coalition.
“There are so many charities in our community that are putting their shoulder to the wheel to make a meaningful impact in our community,” said Lisa Mansell, the Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology in Clearwater. “We support these groups and their missions focused on improving our community. This aligns with our purpose at the Church, expressed by Scientology Founder and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, who wrote, ‘What is important is how much service you can give the world and how much you can get done and how much better you can make things. These are important things. These are all that are important.’”
