SSB (Kolkata) is located approximately 55 km away from central Kolkata; this is the 5th SSB of the Indian Navy and caters for selection of both Permanent and Short service Commission officers.The Other SSb Boards are Bhopal,Banagalore,Coimbatore and Vizag

The New SSB Board can accommodate approximately 160 candidates at a time and has separate accommodation facilities for men and women candidates.They have a GTO ground, testing hall, Conference room, Staff accommodation and a Medical Inspection room.The SSB Kolkata will boost the induction of the men and women officers, into the Indian Navy. Its location will reduce the travel time for candidates coming from Northern and North Eastern parts of the country.
