UCARE initiative to help Ukrainian food producers to enter global market

Ucare is a special project initiated by the leaders of the Ukrainian food market with the assistance of the FoodTechShelf international impact project

Ucare by FoodTech Shelf launched a project for Ukraine, which helps to establish connections between Ukrainian food producers and retailers in Europe and the USA. The goal of the project is to become a "bridge" between them, creating special "Ukrainian shelves" in foreign supermarkets. This is an initiative that not only helps to export Ukrainian goods but also opens Ukraine to the world and supports our economy in the conditions of martial law.
In June 2022, the G7 summit concluded with a Declaration on Global Food Security, pledging 'to make every effort to improve global food security and nutrition security' and 'to protect the most vulnerable populations that are most likely to be hit hardest by the food crisis. At the same time, global food supply chains were seriously disrupted by the Covid pandemic – long before Russia invaded Ukraine.
Yes, the war partially undermined Ukrainian agricultural exports, introduced sanctions against Russia, while the governments of many countries responded with solidarity by imposing a ban on the export of major crops. Due to this, prices for food and fertilizers have risen sharply.
Yes, the threat of food shortages and hunger among the world's poorest populations still exists. However, we are ready to resist, Ukraine cannot be excluded from global players.
Nonetheless. Ukraine has always been considered the 'breadbasket of Europe'. A leading player in food markets, with its unique natural conditions, large fertile lands. Wheat, corn, barley, millet, rice, buckwheat, sugar beets, sunflower, potatoes and vegetables... The 2015 harvest accounted for 3% of world grain production and provided 9.2% of its world trade. Before the war, Ukraine ranked 3rd in the world in corn exports, 5th in wheat exports, and first in Europe in honey production - 73.7 thousand tons. On a global scale, this is the fifth place after China, India, Argentina and the USA.
During the six months of the war, almost 10 million tons of food from 8 agricultural crops were exported from Ukraine. Only in the first decade of August, almost 2 million grains were exported, the largest amount of corn was shipped - 776,000 tons and wheat - 339,000 tons, while for the whole of July it was 3 million tons.
Even in times of trouble, the country is ready to provide the world with quality food, as it has always been - a symbolic photo with a harvester harvesting during the fall of shells went around the world. This is the whole essence of Ukrainians - the desire for independence, responsibility and reliability in contracts.
In response to all the challenges, the leaders of the Ukrainian food market united in the UCARE by FoodTech Shelf initiative. This is the first unique international impact project to support Ukrainian food producers. UCARE is not a national program, but due to the importance of the project, it cooperates with a number of government agencies. We establish bridges between Ukrainian food producers and retailers in Europe and the USA, creating special 'Ukrainian shelves' in foreign supermarkets. Agreements on Made in Ukraine products are already signed with Kroger, Costco, Publix, Spar, Aldi, Lidl, Walmart, Carrefour, Auchan, Tesco, Eleven.
All products comply with EU and USA standards, Logistics, product acquisition, marketing, operational work done by UCARE.

Objectives of the UCARE initiative:
✔️Help producers and the economy of the country
✔️Increasing consumer loyalty through direct interaction with retailers
✔️Ukrainian products on the supermarket's shelves all over the world
✔️Consumers help Ukraine buying UCARE products, and we APPRECIATE your support!

This WIN-WIN initiative helps not only to export Ukrainian goods, but also to promote Ukraine as a brand, to support Ukrainian economy and all the Ukrainian people. Part of the profit given for charity and support of the food industry in Ukraine.
In August we started negotiating with chains whose headquarters based in Germany and the USA with stores widely represented and popular in the UK - Aldi and Costco.
Trusting the quality of Ukrainian products, European supermarkets had previously tried to organize Ukrainian shelves on their own, but this initiative had a point-by-point nature and was not easy to implement. Thanks to our efforts, UK buyers will soon be able to see ‘Ukrainian shelves’ in leading retail chains.
As of today, we have 500-600 manufacturers ready to export, the production of 100 of them will be presented in UK supermarkets. Among the producers are not only giants, such as MHP (https://mhp.com.ua/en/pro-kompaniu ), that owns and operates each of the key stages of chicken production processes, from feed grains and fodder production to egg hatching and grow out to processing, marketing, distribution and sales (including through MHP's franchise outlets). It took second place among European companies in chicken production in 2020 according to the WATTPoultry rating with subsidiaries operating in the Netherlands, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia and other countries. Other brands known to Europeans: THREE BEARS (http://www.greenguild.com.ua/en), Vista (sauces) (http://vista.com.ua/en/ ), Yogoda (drinks)( https://yogoda.com.ua/eng ), Gadz (https://fg-gadz.com.ua/en/ ), Kyivkhlib (https://kyivkhlib.ua/en/contact/ ) etc.
Also among the manufacturers there are craft products that are unique in their kind, for example: ECO-Snack LLC, (https://www.europages.co.uk/ECOSNACK-LLC/00000005398761-726639001.html )
We count on extensive cooperation with retail chains in the UK, since with the abolition of customs duties on Ukrainian goods, prices have become even more attractive, and our complex solutions have simplified the process of organizing deliveries and allow us to pay special attention to goods display and unique communication with the consumer. This will make the acquaintance of the residents of Great Britain with Ukrainian cuisine a pleasant experience they want to return again and again.
Join our victory. Ukraine cares about the world. The world cares about Ukraine.
