A strainer is a type of pipe fitting that lets liquid flow through it while purifying, filtering, and separating it from solid and heavy stuff in the pipeline. Heavy particles are kept out of the process by it. The welding and arresting of materials like rust protects the pipeline from harmful factors. Y strainer:
A Y strainer gets its "y" shape from the diagonal angle at which the main pipe and filter are attached. Although they can be used in vacuum or suction circumstances as well, these strainers are usually used with steam, liquid, or gas. They frequently hold less dirt than "T" shape strainers. Frequent cleaning is required for these strainers. Either horizontally or vertically can be used to set it up.

T type or Basket Strainer:
The size of a T type strainer is greater than that of a Y type strainer. Only horizontal pipelines can accommodate it. This strainer has a larger capacity for dirt than the Y strainer does. They also exist in Duplex version, which has two diverting valves and strainers. These strainers can handle difficult abrasive and chemical applications.
