Blood Donation Gets Smarter: Velby App Officially Launches AI-Powered Blood Donation Network
Kozhikode, June 14, 2025 — On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Velby, India’s first AI-powered preventive health and longevity platform, in association with Vellnez Foundation Trust, has officially launched the country’s first Smart Blood Donation Network.
The Velby App is designed to digitally connect blood banks, volunteer organizations, donors, and the general public—streamlining every aspect of the donation process. Its intelligent algorithms notify only eligible donors based on blood group, location, and donation history. Donors can pre-book time slots for camps to avoid overcrowding and waiting, while those in need can send real-time blood requests through the app, which automatically closes when completed.
Blood banks can now display live inventory, helping the needy to easily track and avoid delays. Donors receive e-certificates and wellness credits, while volunteer organizations are provided with co-branded digital cards and dashboards to track their members and donation status
