AGTECH AND FOOD BUSINESS MISSION TO VIETNAM FROM MAY 19-24 , 2025
San Jose, Feb. 24, 2025 – Following a successful Forum on the Impact of the new US Administration on Business
Development in Vietnam on Jan. 08, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, the US-Vietnam Business Council (UVBC) is organizing a business mission to Vietnam to assist its participants to identify business opportunities in AgTech and Food Industry in Vietnam from May 19-24 , 2025.

Highlights of the mission include:
- An International Trade & Investment Forum organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Government on May 20,
2025.
- An International AgTech and Food Industry Conference in Ho Chi Minh City on May 21 to 22, 2025.
The Conference is being organized by the Investment & Trade Promotion Center
(www.itpchochiminh.gov.vn).
- Showcases of AgTech Projects in Ho Chi Minh City and in Ha Noi.
- Presentations on Food Import/Export Opportunities.
- Numerous networking and business matching sessions.
- Individual Company site visits to meet with pre-screened companies to discuss potential projects.

Participants include but not limited to: representatives of AgTech Service, Food Import/Export companies, Agri.-related associations, Marketing/Logistics/Trade Consultants who are interested in developing business opportunities with counterparts in Vietnam.

“Agriculture is an important economic sector in Vietnam. In 2020, agriculture, aquaculture, and forestry sectors contributed 14.9 percent to Vietnam’s GDP, which is lower than 41.6 percent of the service and 33.7 percent of the industry sector. Vietnam’s agtech industry is still behind other countries despite being an agricultural country. Given a large number of small-hold farmers, in contrast, there are limited agtech companies and projects in Vietnam.
Agtech is a relatively unknown concept in Vietnam’s rural areas.
