CAPGEMINI AWARDED FOR CDP'S A-LIST LEADERSHIP IN CORPORATE TRANSPARENCY AND CLIMATE CHANGE PERFORMANCE

Capgemini was one of the first businesses in the world to have its net zero targets approved in July 2022 using the SBTi's new net-zero standard. The Group has established more challenging short- and long-term carbon reduction goals, such as reducing all carbon emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3 by 90% by 2040. Business travel, employee commutes, office and data centre energy use, as well as the emissions from bought goods and services, are all covered by Capgemini's ten-point global net zero programme. Additionally, Capgemini has opened an innovative Energy Command Center (ECC) in Bangalore, India, which uses digitalization and makes use of measurement and forecasted data to monitor and manage the energy performance across its campuses there, which make up about a quarter of the Group's total energy footprint. In order to advance our climate action and reporting, it is crucial for us to collaborate closely with reputable independent partners like CDP, according to Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini. "Transparency on climate action by all actors is an absolute must, and in the wake of COP27, the urgency has never been stronger. This will allow us to truly accelerate our transition to a low carbon economy. When choosing who to do business with, it has grown to be a crucial factor for enterprises as well as consumers, existing, and future employees.
