Why are school dropouts so alienated? I have thought this over and over and I hope this message reaches as many people as possible. School dropouts have at one time had their dreams they wanted to turn real before other issues interfered. Those individuals need support to reach their goals in form of education,advise or financial support.
For me ,I was taking bachelor in Economics degree but financial circumstances forced me out of class when I was heading to my third year . So unfortunate no matter how I was determined to reach my dreams. Its over four years out of class hoping one day I will resume. Until I realized circumstances don’t happen because we want.
After noting time is running out I started reaching people for help including influential local leaders from Ward Representative to Governor hoping they could help but no one bothered in fact they literally ignored me. I called my friends but turned me down with empty promises. I was left with family option where they were willing but couldn’t offer much help.
I was left wondering if all this is because I was born in Africa Kenya or it’s just that am an unlucky creature. How all these failures aligned themselves from my education to support from others could only leave me depressed.
Later , I decided to search for a job at least a semiskilled job but believe me they wanted qualifications I didn’t have and where I qualified there was high competition. I ended up like a prodigal son.
I had saved myself little so I somehow collected my cents and got back to class but I can’t maintain myself here. Am not looking to give up.
As I was looking for help from online community I came across a fundraising website which gave me some hope that maybe someone out there cares about education or investing in it. Maybe someone cares and is willing to save a life ,my future and lives of many after. If I get $1000,it will keep going and take me closer to my dreams.
