The Women Changing the World Awards presented by Oprah Winfrey’s all-time favourite guest, Dr. Tererai Trent, celebrate and recognise women achieving outstanding success in areas such as sustainability, humanitarian work, leadership, advocacy, tech, product development, education, health and innovation. The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who are leading the way in making the world a better place for us all and inspire other women to answer the call to take action. Dr. Trent explains, “These exceptional women are here to awaken hearts, give permission to recapture dreams and inspire the women of the world to come together to forge a brighter path for all. The rising of women is the awakening
of everybody.”
Geeta said she was overjoyed to win Silver in her category in the 2025 Women Changing the World Awards.
Geeta says: “Winning Silver in the Women Changing the World Awards was an emotional and empowering moment. It’s not just a personal honour, it’s a win for every woman who has ever been made to feel like she doesn’t belong in the room. This award recognises the deep need for safe, supportive and equitable workplaces - and it reinforces our mission at WCorp to keep creating them. It reminds me that change is not only possible, it’s happening and we are a part of that movement.
Being surrounded by such powerful, inspiring women from across the globe - each of them creating change in their own way - was humbling and electrifying. I felt an instant sisterhood. There was no competition, only celebration. Every story I heard reminded me of why this work matters and I
left feeling more inspired than ever to keep building something meaningful for the next generation of women.”
Dr. Trent’s vision for these awards is to empower women everywhere to reclaim their sacred dreams and call in women across the globe to unite and pave the way towards a better future for all.
It can be challenging to create change in the world and Geeta gives this advice for others thinking about following their calling to make a difference: “Every woman who dares to care, speak up, or challenge what’s ‘normal’ is already changing the world. Don’t underestimate the ripple effect of your courage.”
Geeta is proud of her achievements. In the last 12 months, she has:
1. Won Disruptor of the Year at the Best Business Awards, recognising her innovative approach to transforming workplace culture and inclusion.
2. Been named Most Inspiring Women’s Workplace Equity Advocate at the UK Enterprise Awards, a testament to her dedication to advocating for women's rights in the workplace.
3. Won the Women’s Brand Impact Award at the United Nations, recognising her influential work in advancing workplace equity for women globally.
4. Delivered a powerful talk at the United Nations, addressing global workplace inequality and sharing her vision for creating safer, more inclusive environments for women everywhere.
Beyond these accolades, Geeta has continued to dedicate her life to advancing workplace equity through WCorp, a platform she founded to create safe, supportive environments specifically for women in business. Under her leadership, WCorp has empowered countless companies to reshape their internal cultures, focusing on inclusivity, flexibility and creating equal opportunities for women at all levels.
Through her work, Geeta has inspired a global movement of individuals - both women and men - who are leading the charge for change within their organisations, helping to break down barriers and drive social progress. Geeta attributes this success to her unwavering commitment to creating lasting change, the incredible support of the women and men she works alongside and the belief that progress is made through both bold action and collaboration. She believes that true success comes from staying true to your purpose, being unapologetically fearless and empowering others along the
way.
She is committed to continuing to make an impact through her work and her vision for the future is to create a global movement where every company prioritises the support, empowerment and leadership development of women.
“I envision a world where workspaces are genuinely inclusive, where women are not only given equal opportunities but are actively nurtured to succeed and lead. I see WCorp as a catalyst for a profound cultural shift - one that transforms workplaces into spaces where women’s voices are heard, their
contributions are valued and their growth is prioritised. Beyond just certification, I aim for WCorp to become a benchmark for companies striving to create workplaces that foster well-being, inclusion and equal opportunity at every level.
Ultimately, I want to see WCorp-certified companies lead by example, driving a ripple effect throughout the business world, inspiring other organisations to follow suit. In the long term, I hope to see WCorp’s impact reflected in a more equitable society, where women are equally represented in leadership roles and are empowered to reach their fullest potential in every workplace”.
