Anchored by the legendary Capri Theater, “The Block” features five unique dining and entertainment venues that create a one-block, one-stop shop for a night of fun in Jackson’s Fondren district.

The Capri Theater

The Capri Theatre is Mississippi’s only dine-in movie theatre, featuring an exclusive, full-service food and cocktail menu delivered right to your seat. In the heart of Jackson, this historic venue strikes the perfect balance of preserving the old and embracing the new. The building has been restored to include the original architectural features while adding state-of-the-art projection and audio technology. This Summer, families can experience the magic of Capri for just $3 a ticket during special classic family movie showings every Thursday.

Fondren Yard

The latest addition to “The Block”, Fondren Yard, located directly behind The Station, is a can’t-miss hangout spot in Jackson this summer. Throughout the day, Fondren Yard will serve as "Downtown Fondren’s green space," with lawn games, lounge areas and free entry for all.

On special occasions, the space will transform into a live music venue and sports watch party destination with its own shipping container bar & concession stand in the back and VIP booths off to the side. Plus, Fondren Yard can also be rented as a memorable setting for private events and parties. On June 21, Mississippi’s own Mustache Band will take the stage for a special performance.

The Station

There’s more than meets the eye at The Station. What appears to be a retro gas station is actually home to a from-scratch pizza joint and bar complete with indoor and outdoor seating serving up the best pies in Jackson. Guests can enjoy live music and lawn games on the State Street patio all summer. The Station offers unbeatable summer savings with weekday and late-night specials like Happy Hour deals and a can’t-miss lunch combo.

Highball Lanes Restaurant & Bar

More than just bowling, Highball Lanes serves up contemporary, seasonal Southern cuisine with a side of fun on the lanes. With extensive dinner, brunch, lunch and happy hour menus, a full restaurant and bar, a 10-lane bowling alley, unique prohibition-style décor and distinctive event spaces, there’s something for everyone at Highball. For students, Highball is offering bowling for just $3 per game during select times.

The Pearl Tiki Bar

Offering “paradise in the city,” The Pearl Tiki Bar brings a taste of Polynesia to the historic Fondren neighborhood of Jackson as the only Tiki Bar in the city.
