This is where things learn to get interesting in RS

A neat trick below, since the gamemode is really new, is to bring some sort of Strung rabbit's foot

You have several choices once you reach 68. Realistically, yews are not very quick as of yet, but they are much better moneymaking than Ivy, the other alternative. A third alternative usually are maples, but they are slower and don't yield as much dollars as yews.

What I did here was check out Canifis, to the west wall with the bar, and chop the three Ivy spawns there. Note that Canifis is usually a high-threat area, so you should expect people to attack you there. However, if people are eradicating you, just hop worlds and dont stop learning .. As long as you merely bring your hatchet (rune+ hopefully at this stage), they will get nothing from you, and the spawn point is literally just 10 steps from the Ivys.

A neat trick below, since the gamemode is really new, is to bring some sort of Strung rabbit's foot, so that you have more bird's nests. I have gotten in excess of 70 bird's nest merely in Canifis, and you can frequently find highly valuable seeds inside them.

Levels 90-94

Now this is where things learn to get interesting, and also complicated. Elder trees, available at level ninety days, are very good regarding moneymaking, and the trees constantly last 5 minutes before depletion. However, they also take 10 min's to respawn. This makes it difficult to chop them full-time. Luckily however, there is an Elder tree north of Canifis, so you can slice Ivy while waiting to help them to respawn.

Note that Elder trees will start the 5 minute timer the very first time you interact with the actual tree, so if you begin to chop, it will keep depleting even if you stop (the respawn timer also stops should you log off). Getting at least a Rune Hatchet on these trees is essential, as they won't deplete any slower in case you have a lower tier hatchet.

Another way to chop them is always to first do the just one in Canifis, bank your hatchet and also logs, and then set your current death respawn to mage world bank. Usually there are people with weapons inside Canifis, so give them several free pvp experience by simply punching them, so they kill people. Then take your hatchet away from mage arena bank, and run east, and then south past the mage arena and down to the other Elder shrub, located east of the particular Red Dragon Isle.

When you have chopped that you, run west and somewhat south to reach the Wilderness Volcano, the site of this Wilderness Grand Exchange, and bank your firewood and hatchet. Without any items, use the Canifis lodestone to acquire back and repeat.
