Valencia, Spain – Paella Shack by London Paella School, spearheaded by the illustrious chef, founder, and paella culture advocate Xavi Meroño, is set to make a significant appearance at Tastarròs 2024. This esteemed event, organised by the Denomination of Origin Arroz de Valencia, will take place on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento of Valencia, Spain.

Chef Xavi Meroño, along with his esteemed ‘cari’ Raúl Tobar, will present “The Soho’s Lamb & Aubergine Paella Rice,” a dish that has garnered immense popularity at London’s Berwick Street Market in Soho. This exceptional paella is crafted using lamb neck, aubergines, oyster mushrooms, tomatoes, garlic, rosemary, sweet smoked paprika, saffron, salt, water, and Albufera rice, promising a unique and delectable experience for all attendees.

In addition to his participation in Tastarròs, Xavi Meroño will lead a Paella Valenciana masterclass on June 5 at Ricepaella, hosted by chefs David and Jose Montero.
From June 6 to 8, Xavi with London Paella School has organised a comprehensive Paella Culinary Getaway. Participants will enjoy two intensive cooking classes focusing on Paella Valenciana and Arroz Negro, a guided tours of Valencia’s Central Market, tastings at Benvolgut Aperitius and Colmado La Lola, and a scenic boat ride across the Albufera lake, home to the iconic rice fields. This culinary journey will culminate in active participation at Tastarròs, guided by Chef Xavi himself.
