Oak Park, IL (July 2, 2025) — The Community Connections Fund (CCF) is proud to announce that applications are open for the 2025-26 cohort of the Community Connections Leadership Program (CCLP). This ten-month leadership experience is uniquely designed to help emerging and established leaders uncover their superpower, align with their values, and make a more meaningful impact in their organizations and communities.

The establishment of the Community Connections Fund as an independent nonprofit was made possible by crucial support from the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation, which successfully incubated the program, formerly known as Leadership Lab. The Foundation’s stewardship was instrumental in launching CCF, and the two organizations continue to partner in a shared vision of developing leaders all across the region.

Running from September 2025 to June 2026, CCLP is more than a leadership course—it's a journey. Participants engage in a transformative blend of large-group sessions, small-group peer collaboration, and personalized executive coaching.

"Leadership is about alignment, not just advancement," said Cathy Yen, Executive Director of the Community Connections Fund. "We're not here to just create elected officials or future board members. We're here to help people tap into their unique leadership identity and apply it—authentically and courageously across every space they touch."

What sets CCLP apart is its accessibility. The program is priced to be within reach, de-formalized to be inclusive, and designed for impact across all sectors. It is built for professionals in nonprofit work, education, business, entrepreneurship, government, or faith leadership who are ready to invest in their growth. Participants build tangible skills in communication, influence, systems thinking, and strategic leadership while deepening their self-awareness and expanding their cross-sector network.

"This is the most accessible, human-centered leadership development space out there," Yen added. "If you're seeking growth, craving clarity, or preparing for your next step—this is where you start."
