Harbour FX Pty Ltd and Harbour Investment Partners Exposed for Alleged Investment Scam Targeting Australians

Posted April 29, 2025 by scambuster

Harbour FX Pty Ltd and Harbour Investment Partners are soliciting Australians with fraudulent bond offers. No licensed advisers are listed with ASIC. Verify all investment claims independently to avoid scams.

Concern is mounting over Harbour FX Pty Ltd and Harbour Investment Partners, companies that have been actively soliciting Australians with fraudulent bond investment offers, operating under multiple web addresses, including harbour-fx.com.au, harbourinvestmentpartners.com.au, harbourplatform.com.au, and harbourinvestmentpartners.net.

Victims report being contacted directly by representatives offering attractive investment opportunities in bonds. However, upon conducting due diligence, it was discovered that no staff from these companies are listed on the official Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) Financial Adviser Register — a mandatory requirement for any firm or individual legally offering financial products or advice in Australia.

One individual who came forward shared their experience:
"I was personally contacted and pressured to invest in bonds. After checking with ASIC, I was informed that no one from Harbour FX Pty Ltd is authorized to provide financial advice. They are operating illegally. My funds were taken, and all communication ceased afterward."

Additionally, Capital Guard AU Pty Ltd, operating through capitalguard.com.au, has been linked to similar activities. This company was only recently registered (January 18, 2025) and has no authorized financial advisers listed with ASIC. Victims have reported ignored communications and unreturned funds after purchasing fraudulent bonds.

The absence of accredited advisers and proper licensing is a serious red flag. Under Australian law, financial services providers must hold a valid Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) and have their representatives listed in the ASIC Financial Adviser Register.

Consumers are strongly urged to:

Independently verify any company’s licensing status using the ASIC Financial Adviser Register and AFSL search tools.

Refrain from engaging with unsolicited investment offers.

Report suspected scams directly to ASIC and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) through the Scamwatch platform.

For anyone uncertain about an investment opportunity, it is crucial to seek advice from a licensed and accredited financial professional.
