Ketchum, Idaho, June 8, 2026 — The Read Nardagani Literacy Foundation, a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to evidence aligned reading instruction, today announced the official launch of its website, nardaganifoundation.org.
The Foundation was created to address the literacy crisis in the United States. The literacy crisis is real and urgent.
• 1 in 3 children cannot read at grade level
• Every year we wait, another million children fall behind
• Literacy predicts health, income, and lifelong opportunity
• Low literacy costs our economy $2.2 trillion every year.
Millions of children and adults lack the decoding skills necessary to read confidently and participate fully in school and work and engage meaningfully in civic life. Not because they failed, but because traditional learning systems do not reach everyone. The Read Nardagani Literacy Foundation exists to change that.
“Literacy is the foundation of opportunity,” said Narda Pitkethly, Founder of The Read Nardagani Literacy Foundation and creator of the Nardagani reading method. “Every child deserves access to clear, simple, effective reading instruction, no matter their zip code, background, or circumstance. The Read Nardagani Literacy Foundation ensures that the tools that work are placed into the hands of the communities that need them most.”
A Mission Rooted in Access, Equity, and Evidence
The Foundation will provide free access to the Read Nardagani app for:
• underserved schools
• libraries and after school programs
• adult literacy organizations
• families who cannot afford private support
The Foundation also plans to support teacher training, district pilot programs, research partnerships, and community based literacy initiatives. “Strong literacy is the bedrock of civic health,” said Jerry Klein, COO of The Read Nardagani Literacy Foundation. “When children learn to decode, the magic of reading unlocks their imagination, and they gain access to the world. When communities gain literacy, they gain stability, opportunity, and a shared foundation for the future. Our mission is to make that possible for every learner.”
A New Digital Home: NardaganiFoundation.org
The newly launched website offers:
• an overview of the Foundation’s mission and programs
• information for schools, libraries, and community partners
• research and evidence supporting the Nardagani method
• opportunities to participate, volunteer, or donate to support the mission
• stories from learners, educators, families, and blog contributors
The site will continue to expand with new resources, pilot opportunities, and updates as the Foundation grows.
