Morocco (June 04, 2016) - The year 2016 will definitely be a golden year in the career graph of Achraf Baznani as he bags the prestigious Prize Colosseo award in Italy. Baznani becomes the first Moroccan photographer to claim this prestigious award which is conferred for enhancing the image of that of the city of Rome. This award ceremony was initiated in the year 2009 to celebrate the 2000th Birth anniversary of the Roma Emperor Vespasian who built the historical Roman Colosseum. The recipient of this ward receives a silver replica of the Colosseum.

Born at Marrakesh on the 1st of January, 1979, Achraf Baznani is an eminent artist, photographer as well as a filmmaker from Morocco. It was during one of his birthdays that he received a KODAK camera that triggered his interest in photography. The little boy grew up to become the first artist from the Arab World who published a photo-book which is themed on surreal imagery. His books like “Inside my dream” and “Through my lens” are themed on surrealism. Baznani’s works had been published in several prestigious international magazines with the list including the names like PicsArt, Photo+, Mambo, Digital Photo Magazine and Amateur photographer, to name a few.

Baznani’s career had been gem-studded as he had received several prestigious titles in the domains of photography as well as cinema. Between the year 2006 and 2009, he won the “best film director” award several times, in Morocco and abroad alike. In the year 2016, he won the “Golden Orchid Grand Prize”, aside the prestigious International Prize Colosseo.

“Receipt of any prize or rewards enhances the responsibility of the recipients towards the community. Similarly, the receipt of the International Prize Colosseo had made to feel my higher responsibility to produce better works” stated Baznani while speaking to the press.
