Popular house cleaning service accepts online payments to reduce risks of infection contracting the coronavirus

Maryland–4/22/2020: COVID-19 has managed to spread worldwide within the space of a few months. Over 120 countries are infected and have had to implement self-isolation policies by going into lockdown. Only essential services are allowed to function till the situation is manageable. During this time, the renowned company, Budget Maids is providing house cleaning services with online payments to keep their client’s and staff safe.

Since the coronavirus is so highly infectious, individuals have to take much precaution to stay safe. This means staying at a 6 ft. distance from others, wearing a mask, washing their hands etc. Budget Maids has therefore adapted their service to these times. They have set up an online payment system so that client’s do not have to interact with the staff.

A representative of the business stated, “According to the Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, certain small businesses are allowed to operate while taking all necessary precaution to prevent the spread of the virus. Referring to his Interpretive Guidance, section 2(b)(iii) notes ‘Janitorial firms’ have been exempt from shutting down as we provide an essential service. Our teams now have a new safety protocol to follow.”

The new guidelines by which this service is now operating includes:

• Providing their staff with masks, gloves, and shoe covers which are to be discarded after a single use.
• A two person team of cleaning specialists will visit client’s homes so that the job is completed quicker.
• All cleaning equipment is to be disinfected.
• Hands must be sanitized before entering a client’s home.
• Staff must self-quarantine if they begin to show any signs of the virus.
• Clients must inform the service if anyone in the home is ill.
• Potent disinfecting products are to be used on all surfaces to kill bacteria and viruses.

The company is closely monitoring updates from the Federal, State, and Local officials regarding this outbreak so that they can adapt their protocol accordingly.

Ancil Waldron, CEO of Budget Maids stated, “It’s essential for us to work together as a community during this tough time. We at Budget Maids are doing everything we can to provide for the community by disinfecting homes to contain the spread as best we can.”

Budget Maids continues to serve the local community. Clients can buy gift cards from the company so that they can gift the joy of walking into a clean home to a loved one. Their representatives are quick to respond to any queries.
