A claddagh ring, which is originally worn by Irish couples, is among the most wanted unique wedding accessories for most couples.

A claddagh ring symbolizes love, loyalty and friendship. The value of the ring is not necessarily determined by the material from which it is made, but from how it is designed because what this ring tells is all about symbolism.

Most couples usually want to make their wedding ceremony unique and, sometimes, unconventional. For them, everything that they use and wear during the ceremony should be distinctive. They mostly want to wear wedding dresses that are different from ordinary dresses worn by most people and to use wedding rings that is also distinguishable.

A claddagh ring, which is originally worn by Irish couples, is among the most wanted unique wedding accessories for most couples. This ring can be a suitable accessory for couples expecting an unconventional wedding ceremony.

This ring carries many meanings to its wearer. The design of the ring itself already has profound meaning. Typically, the design of this ring consists of a pair of hands clasping a heart with a crown on it. The clasping hands are usually interpreted as a symbol of friendship, the heart as a symbol of love, and the crown as a symbol of loyalty. The way the ring is worn may also carry different meanings.

Married couples usually wear the ring on the left hand with the crown facing outward whereas engaged couples usually wear the ring on the left hand with the crown facing inward. The meaning of the ring will be different if it is worn on the right hand with the crown facing outward or inward.

The ring is wearable not only during a wedding ceremony because love can be expressed during such solemn celebration. If the wearer knows the meaning of the ring when it is worn on left or right hand, he/she can find out the best moment for him/her to wear the ring and to express the meaning that the ring carries.
