Deanna Goulazian was honored to be selected as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross for the Bucks County sector. Deanna Goulazian is excited to be volunteering with the organization, and has been a loyal worker. Deanna Goulazian has a passion for helping others and finds the American Red Cross to be one of the greatest aid organizations in the country. Being selected for the Board of Directors “is an honor and exciting role” Deanna Goulazian is ready to play.
After being exposed to volunteer work at a young age, Deanna Goulazian has always incorporated volunteerism into her life. After winning several recognitions in the Miss Teenage Rhode Island statewide pageant, Deanna Goulazian experienced the joys and lessons of volunteering while representing her state. From then on, Deanna Goulazian was inspired to continue to volunteer in the future.
After graduating from American University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communication, Deanna Goulazian entered her career in the field of telecommunications and public relations. As Deanna Goulazian continued to advance in her professional life, she began to see opportunity for civic engagement. Deanna Goulazian became very involved in her local American Red Cross organization, volunteering with blood drives and collecting donations for disaster relief efforts.
In addition to her service work with the American Red Cross, Deanna Goulazian has also participated in the Comcast Cares Days. The Comcast Cares Days is known to elicit the largest day of corporate giving in America. In 2012, Deanna Goulazian participated in the Comcast Cares Day by volunteering to refurbish and renovate a homeless shelter in Levittown, PA. Here Deanna Goulazian had the chance to help others who are less fortunate than her. It was a great experience for Deanna Goulazian which strengthened her desire and love of service work. The following year in 2013, Deanna Goulazian again participated in the Comcast Cares Day. This year she helped in the rebuilding of a small beach town in New Jersey that suffered great devastation after Hurricane Sandy. Deanna Goulazian took away from this experience the power of people who come together to help each other in times of need.
