Since getting involved in real estate 42 years ago, Gary Allen knew that this was the field he was destined to work in. He had excellent performance early on and gradually moved into sales, marketing, development and financial services for hundreds of subdivisions and other projects in North Carolina and across the southeastern US. His business and managerial skills aided him in this work.

Working with a development of this value means that everything need to be done properly and efficiently. The work was stressful at many times, but each year it became easier for Gary Allen. He developed vital relationships with contractors and other agents which enabled him to perform his work much more efficiently than other developers. His marketing ability helped to get his projects into the limelight as well.

Asked about what he enjoyed most about working in real estate for over forty years, Gary Allen stated, "I feel very lucky to work in an industry that has provided a great living for myself. Not only that, but the work on these large subdivisions and projects I did brought hundreds of jobs into the area that were high-paying and good jobs to have."
