What is insulated spiral steel pipe?

Insulated spiral steel pipe is to insulate spiral steel pipe (SSAW pipe). The most important method of insulation is polyurethane insulated spiral pipe. After pre-treatment such as rust removal, the steel pipe is covered with a layer of polyethylene or steel. Thickness depends on customer's needs. The space between the pipe body and the jacket is filled with foam, and the thickness of the foam is also processed according to customer needs. The insulated spiral steel pipe can be installed overhead or buried. Insulated spiral steel pipes are widely used in chemical pipeline insulation projects such as liquid and gas transportation pipeline networks, petroleum, chemical industry, central heating and heating pipeline networks, central air-conditioning ventilation pipelines, municipal engineering and other chemical pipeline insulation projects.

Quality standards for thermal insulation spiral steel pipes:
(1) The hydraulic pressure test results of concealed pipelines and the entire steam system must comply with the design requirements and construction specifications.
(2) The position and structure of the pipeline fixing bracket must comply with the design requirements and construction specifications.
(3) The installation positions of expanders, pressure reducers, traps, and valves must meet the design requirements, and the pressure after pre-stretching and pressure regulation must comply with the construction specifications.
(4) Welding of branch pipes is strictly prohibited at the butt welds and bends of steel-steel insulated spiral steel pipes. The distance between the joint weld and the bending point and the edge of the support and hanger must be greater than 50 mm.
(5) The material, specifications and winding method of the filter screen of the decontamination device must comply with the design requirements and construction specifications.
(6) After the steam supply system is completed, the purging quality must be checked.
(7) The slope of the insulated spiral steel pipe should meet the design requirements.
(8) The threaded connection of carbon steel pipes should meet the following requirements: the threads are clean and regular, without broken or missing wires, and the connection is firm. There are 2-3 threads exposed at the root of the pipe thread.
(9) The welding of carbon steel pipes should meet the following requirements: the straightness of the welded joint and the reinforced surface of the welded seam comply with the design specifications, the surface of the welded joint has no burn-through, cracks, nodules, slag inclusions, obvious pores, and the welding wave is uniform.
(10) The installation of insulated spiral steel pipe reducers, traps, and valves should meet the following requirements: the model, specification, compressive strength, and tightness test results comply with the design requirements and construction specifications, and the installation position, direction, and inlet and outlet are correct and the connections are correct. Strong, tight, flexible to open and close, easy to use, clean surface.
(11) The installation of pipe supports and pipe sockets should meet the following requirements: correct structure, smooth and firm burial, neat arrangement, and close contact between the bracket and the pipe.
(12) The coating of insulated spiral steel pipes, boxes and metal brackets should meet the following requirements: the coating variety and number of coatings meet the design requirements, good adhesion, no peeling, blistering, or missing coatings, and the paint film has uniform thickness and color. Consistent, no runny, no contamination.
