Working out at home gives you the freedom to work whenever you want and at your own convenience. Your home is never overcrowded, (unless you invite your friends for a party); you can workout in peace (play your favourite music out loud, while at it. Or workout in your night-dress).

Going to gym has its own set of benefits. Although the prices are high, it is almost always worth it. Most gyms have experts in fitness for trainers who know their stuff. The expertise will help you achieve fitness faster and easier. Of course, that comes at a cost: a monthly cut in your income.

In this article, we will discuss five low-cost gym equipment for your home; for the fitness-freak in you!

The five most important equipment mentioned here are based on full-body workout. This is not an how-to-exercise article, mind, but simply a list. A life-changing list one might call.

Dumbbells


Of all the items mentioned here, dumbbells are the costliest. But let me tell you, its totally worth the investment. Don’t look back before buying a set of dumbbells that has varying weights. Like a rod with bolts and a set of weights that can be loaded and unloaded as your training requires.
It’s great to add a bench to the dumbbell set, too. But you can always use chairs or any plain surface. Kindly practise caution when doing so.

Jump rope


Cardio is one of the most important aspects of training. Any training. If you are looking to lose weight, gain some or simply want to have a lot of stamina: jump rope will help you get there.
In addition to that, your bone density will grow over time making you stronger. And healthier.
Of course, the main benefit is your cardiovascular health. Health of your heart to put simply. This reduces bad cholesterol and keeps you energetic.

Although dumbbells are more than enough for most of the weight-training exercises, having a door gym bar will allow you to work your back, shoulder and arm muscles like nothing else. Using your bodyweight is an incredible way to increase muscle mass and stay fit and ripped.

This is another great tool for a workout. Like any simple but awesome piece of equipment, exercise balls can be used in numerous ways. They are not too expensive and can help you achieve core-fitness.

While you can do a wide-variety of exercises using only these 5, there are other things we want you to do to add to your overall fitness: Running; choose a park or wherever there is greenery and peace (avoid buying treadmills since they are expensive and in fact you will be better off running outdoors).
