Roof raising Latin American band, Sol Peligro, kicks off the season at The HIVE Tasting Room & Kitchen

WOODLAND, California — Latin American alternative powerhouse ensemble, Sol Peligro, kick’s off The HIVE Tasting Room & Kitchen’s 2024 outdoor concert series, Live at The HIVE, on Friday, June 21 from 5 p.m. -8 p.m. The HIVE is northern California’s largest honey and mead tasting room, located at 1221 Harter Ave. in Woodland, CA.

“Live at The HIVE is a community-wide concert series that brings together people of all ages for great music and food in our beautiful pollinator gardens. The series started as a way to celebrate the positive power of bringing people together,” says Shoshana Zeldner, Director of Brand Strategy at Z Specialty Food.

In addition to phenomenal music, guests can explore the expansive pollinator gardens, enjoy a seasonal farm-to-fork menu, craft honey brewed beverages and complimentary honey tasting. Live at The HIVE is family and dog friendly and all ages welcome. A sliding scale cover charge ($0-$20-/person) helps ensure the event is as accessible as possible.

Sol Peligro’s party poppin’ grooves deliver a positive message with an infectious nod to Cumbia, Salsa, Reggeton, and Tex-Mex. Since 2005, this nine-piece band has been uplifting audiences across the west, a three-time Sacramento Area Music Award winner and a member of the SAMMIE Hall of Fame. Sol Peligro has performed alongside Grammy award winning artists including Ozomatli, Grupo Fantasma, B Side Players, Celso Pena, The English Beat and the mighty Los Lobos.

Live at The HIVE continues on Friday, July 12 with a funk-filled performance by Big Sticky Mess. The season includes performances by Shawn Thwaites Rebel Quartet (7/26/24), the Gold Souls (8/16/24), The Bobby Young Project (8/30/24), Boca do Rio (9/13/24), Jessica Malone (9/27/24) and The Nickel Slots (10/18/24).
