Linda Dugan, VP of Paypal, Dan Leberman Assists in Brazen Theft From Single Mom

Paypal has gotten away with numerous illegal activities, but this time, did they go too far?

Paypal has long angered customers by their bullying tactics, judge and jury attitude, and illegal antics. They've been hit with numerous lawsuits over the years, but still they persist to make their own rules. However, the noose seems to be tightening around Paypal's neck.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is gearing up to sue Paypal over deceptive practices with Paypal credit. This will cost them dearly. However, even in the face of numerous lawsuits, their illegal actions persist.

Have you ever tried e-mailing a Paypal executive? Most will attest that it will get you nowhere and at times, you end up worse off for "daring" to bother them. This very thing happened to a single mother just yesterday.

A single mother had been scammed by a man she'd been working for on the internet. He told her he'd sent her her final pay in two Paypal transactions because the amount ($4k) required his social security number if he sent the whole amount once. The woman marked the invoice paid in her financial system thinking the issue was settled, but she was very wrong.

The man she was working for was a known financial criminal. This is the reason she wasn't willing to work for him anymore. The more she found out about this guy, the wore she felt. He was ripping off retirees and threatening people who came forward about him.

Through intimidation and lawsuits, along with deception and "tricky" practices, the man was able to keep many complaints at bay. He paid for numerous fake reviews of his business on various platforms. Still, a thorough research of his background shows retirees complaining of being scammed out of their retirement (www.katu.com/news/specialreports/7256591.html) and attempts at a court sanctioned theft (http://www.leagle.com/decision/In%20CACO%2020110829032/CAPITAL%20GOLD%20GROUP%2c%20INC.%20v.%20DAVIS). It takes a real narcissist to believe that a court will allow you to take a customer's money to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars and give them nothing.

After learning all of this, the single mother put in her resignation. The scamming business man offered to buy her an electric bike. She refused. She didn't want to "owe" him anything.

At any rate, after receiving her last pay (she resigned) from this man, the single mother confronted him. She told him she was coming forward with information to help people. He did not like this. He started a campaign to steal her $4,000 paycheck back to hurt her.

He was able to get the first $2,000 back right away. Paypal claimed the payment was never "accepted". Not true. Paypal locked the single mother out of her account and wouldn't let her touch it. Paypal took a payment back from a payment the single mother had made and a Paypal representative told this person that the single mother had been "hacking into accounts" because he "sees this stuff all the time".

Paypal asked the single mother to provide several documents and she did. Paypal responded to the second complaint on the second $2,000 saying there was no unauthorized use of the employers account and the funds remained in the single mother's account. However, Paypal wouldn't let her access them.

That's when the single mother decided to contact Linda Dugan, Paypal's VP, and Dan Leberman, for help. Every time she completed the list of tasks Paypal gave her, Paypal just added more tasks. Finally, they accused her of having a connection to three accounts with e-mail addresses she'd never even heard of. Linda Dugan, Paypal's VP, and Dan Leberman was reading the single mother's e-mails but refused to respond to her.

Getting desperate because her rent was due, the woman e-mailed anyone and everyone for help. In retaliation, Linda Dugan ordered a refund of the final $2,000 from the woman's account and the theft was complete. The woman continued to receive e-mails saying she was connected to a single e-mail, different from the first three, and she needed to clear that up before she could access the account. It looks like a total circus.

After reviewing the documents, Paypal had no legal authority to refund the $4,000. They have acted as "judge and jury" in an improper manner and seriously abused their discretion. Linda Dugan, clearly outted by the Sidekick add on, read all of these e-mails and took all of these actions without even speaking to the single mom. This is low even for Paypal.

How long will the government allow Paypal to abuse their customers? How long with the SEC stand by while Paypal inflates their numbers (and worth) by locking people out of their accounts and not paying them interest on their money. This is the only financial institution in the world allowed to operate this way and it needs to stop. As far as one single mother they victimized, I believe America will be behind her. Linda Dugan needs to apologize and immediately resign.
