Are you planning a quick escape to the old and rugged terrain of Manali but aren’t sure how many days are enough for Manali? We’ve crafted a guide to help you make the most of your time as a tourist in Manali.

Manali, a haven for mountain lovers known for its hippie vibes, is a popular hill station located at a height of 2050m( 6398 ft) at the northern end of Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Located on the banks of the Beas, this beautiful place is divided into two areas: New Manali and Old Manali. New Manali is relatively crowded and touristy, whereas Old Manali is less crowded and a perfect place to stay. It’s relatively comforting and serene, girdled by nature, and only 3 km from New Manali. Old Manali is what we’d recommend if you want to witness the real Manali.
When to Go

Manali’s beauty changes with each season. It metamorphoses into a pristine, charming, snow-white town during the winter. If you like pleasant weather and vibrant landscapes, plan to visit Manali during the summer months (March to June), and if you’re a fan of snow-covered landscapes and winter sports, plan your visit between December and February. We would not recommend the monsoon season (July to September), which brings lush greenery but also occasional landslides.
How to reach:

The nearest airport to Manali is Bhuntar Airport in the Kullu district; however, flights are infrequent. If you must travel by plane, choose a flight to Chandigarh or Delhi. You may simply ride a Volvo bus to Manali from Delhi or Chandigarh. I recommend that you begin early in the morning. Travelling by bus or car from Chandigarh to Manali will take approximately 7 to 8 hours.

DAY ONE:

Visit the Vashisht temple early in the morning on your first day in Manali. Dip into this natural hot spring, a magnificent gift from nature to humanity. It is said that the spring has medicinal properties.

DAY TWO:

On the second day, you can go to Hadimba and Manu Temples, the Old Manali Market, and the Clubhouse. The Hadimba Temple is a one-of-a-kind shrine to Hidimba Devi, Bhima’s wife, and Ghatothkach’s mother. It is located only 3 km away from old Manali.

DAY THREE:

You can choose to visit Naggar Castle on your third day in Manali. This castle is famous for its baroque architecture dating back to the sixteenth century. Located around 24 km from Old Manali, the castle offers spectacular views of the Kullu Valley.
