Remote Jobs Get Top Talent

New data has underscored exactly how much more remote jobs get their pick of the talent pool than jobs with no remote work or job flexibility do.

AUSTIN, 15 November, 2022 — Remote Worker CEO Joseph Boll has long suggested that companies that shun remote work lose out on top talent. With countless studies indicating the immense popularity of remote jobs not just in the US but abroad as well, and with the Great Resignation still in full swing, the CEO has maintained that employees who want remote work have more options than ever to pursue it. However, new data has underscored exactly how much more remote jobs get their pick of the talent pool than jobs with no remote work or job flexibility do.

Remote Worker is an online jobs board and resource website for remote workers, remote work jobseekers, and hiring managers, employers and HR personnel seeking to recruit and hire the top talent for remote positions. Its CEO, Boll, has long believed that remote work is here to stay.

“Remote jobs are popular just about the world over,” says Boll. “But the demand for remote work is particularly high in the United States, despite fewer jobs offering remote work, hiring actually slowing down recently, the Great Resignation or Great Reshuffling still happening and most Americans expressing serious concern about whether the economy will go into recession.

“Despite it all, US workers are refusing to let go of their desire for greater work-life balance, like flexible or hybrid options and remote work. This is to the point where dozens of studies indicate some people would take a pay cut to work remotely.”

Boll also pointed to recent statistics from business and employment services giant LinkedIn, which found that although just 14 percent of job postings are for remote jobs, that same percentage receives more than 50 percent of total job applications.

“The numbers are concrete evidence just how much employers are losing out on the best of the talent pool by not switching to remote,” he says. “More than half of applicants are skipping over non-remote jobs to go to your competitor who’s offering what they want.

“This isn’t just speculation — it’s documented fact, and one more reason to seriously consider at least some form of remote work if you don’t plan to already.”
