A team of education experts developed Wellbright, an evidence-based school model, to reform the American school system.

Houston-based education startup, Vedara, led by a seasoned educator, Katerina Belik PhD, announced that their Wellbright Model is ready to be adopted by schools for 2023-2024 school year.
The company built a team of internationally renowned education experts to find effective solutions to the school crisis that was exacerbated by the pandemic. “We have a completely outdated school system that contradicts almost every point of what we now know about learning and human development. This has to be changed,” emphasizes Katerina, the Founder and CEO of Vedara.
The Wellbright Model looks at the roots of the current problems and places special emphasis on working with families and teachers. Parents and teachers are viewed as the vital role models for students. “If we want our students to do better, we, adults, must do better first.”
A holistic approach to child development is at the core of the model. Wellbright aims to create an optimum environment which cares for the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of students.
Wellbright’s elements are designed to address school climate, teacher retention, student mental health and emotional wellbeing, family engagement, and more.
For the first time, Vedara will be showcasing the Wellbright Model at the AASA NCE in San-Antonio from February 16-18, 2023.
“We need courageous leaders who see that there is no more room for band-aid solutions. We want leaders to sit down and see what the research is proving over and over again. We want to work with those who are ready to make systemic changes in their schools and districts,” stresses Dr. Belik.
