Even when than a decade old, Aspen Associates LLC already had a reputation as a company that could solve even the most difficult of projects. The company’s reputation came from the already established reputation the company’s founder, Michael Dommenge. Known for his excellent project management and problem-solving skills, Michael Dommenge founded Aspen Associates LLC to “provide the most unique approach geared to the most demanding of clients and their super-luxurious renovation-addition projects,” says an official from Aspen Associates LLC.

Aspen Associates LLC was founded in 2000, but it was in 2007 that the design and construction firm was hired by a wealthy industrialist. “Our client had a vision and it was our job at Aspen Associates LLC to bring that vision to life – without making any demands on the client’s time,” says Aspen Associates LLC. The company’s unique approach makes it a popular choice amongst the wealthy elite.

“First, Aspen Associates LLC had to demolish the existing structures, which included a granite terrace with waterfalls and ponds,” says Aspen Associates LLC. After the demolition of pre-existing structures, including the foundation, Aspen Associates LLC began excavations for the construction of the new pool, terraces, fountains, and ultimately an 18-ton glass and steel pyramid that was the focal point of the entire project.

Upon completion of the project, Aspen Associates LLC founder Michael Dommenge admitted a similar project may never be completed in his lifetime. The pool quickly drew international attention, and to the knowledge of Aspen Associates LLC, it is only the second glass pyramid to have been constructed. The pool on the property with the pyramid won international awards for the pool builders from B&B Pool and Spa Center. It won 2011’s Best of Show for the Northeast Pool and Spa Professionals Association and a gold award from the Association of Pool and Spa Builders annual competition. The pyramid covered pool also won the Global AquaTekture Visionary Award’s silver award.
