Dr. Pamela Ikuta is an Emergency Medicine Physician, she is Board Certified by the American Board of Physician Specialties. She has ample experience and knowledge, and she is thorough, reliable, focused, diligent, hardworking and selfless. She has been practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician for over fifteen years, and she still continue to apply her knowledge and experience in providing better health care services to patients. Dr Pamela Ikuta was born and brought up in Orange County, CA. She is a graduate of the Loma Linda University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1983. In 1984, she received her Paramedic Certificate/License from the Crafton Hills College, Yucaipa, CA. Furthermore, she studied medicine at the Western University of Health Science-College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Pomona, CA, and graduated in 1999 with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree. She became Board Certified in April 2011.
She is very industrious and very active, and she is a member of many committees, boards, and associations; she is in both the Trauma Committee and Utilization Review Committee of the Mercy Medical Center Redding; and she is a member of both the Interdisciplinary Committee, and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of the St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, Red Bluff, CA. Some of the associations she is affiliated to include the American Academy of Family Practice, the American Board of Physician Specialties, the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California. Furthermore, she belongs to numerous community development organizations; she is the President of the North Valley Medical Association Alliance, a member of the Board of Directors of the North State Symphony, a member of the Board of Regents for the Turtle Bay Exploration Park, a member of the Advisory Council of the St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, and a member of the Board of Directors of Launchpad4kids, Inc.
In addition, she was featured on the front page of W Women’s Magazine’s April 2010 publication as the Inspirational Woman of the month.
