Elaine Jordan Celebrates Success at the University of Iowa

Elaine Jordan is currently a student at the University of Iowa who is involved in many academic and extracurricular activities. She is celebrating several years of success in her endeavors at the university.

 
Elaine Jordan is not your average student. Despite her academic success as an Environmental Biosciences and Geology major, her undergraduate experience has been much more than just academics. Elaine Jordan is currently a student at the University of Iowa, and has enjoyed great success in both academics and her extracurricular academics.

Founded in 1847, the University of Iowa (UI) is the oldest university in the state. Considered one of the “Public Ivy Leagues,” the university offers prestigious programs in over 100 areas of study. Whether you’re into sports, research, academics, or other activities, the University of Iowa is sure to have something to fit your interests.
It was the university’s wide list of degree programs and extracurricular activities that drew Elaine Jordan’s interest. She explains, “As I’m always involved in multiple activities at any given time, it was important for me to attend a school that catered to my interests.” Certainly, the university has exceeded Elaine Jordan’s expectations.

In terms of academics, Elaine Jordan is a forerunner in her class. The Environmental Biosciences and Geology program is not easy, but Elaine Jordan manages to maintain a high GPA. She feels that the university’s curriculum fits well with her learning style, so she has been largely successful in her academic endeavors. Elaine Jordan is also equipped to perform her own research as a complement to her degree, which few students are able to do.

The University of Iowa also has impressive peer mentoring programs that Elaine Jordan participates in. She is a mentor for Women in Science and Engineering and Complementary and Alternative Medicines. Through these programs, Elaine Jordan has provided invaluable social support for her fellow students. She has been able to share her interest in mind-body healing with the students she works with, which has been a great teaching opportunity for her.

Elaine Jordan is also a resident assistant in one of the university’s dormitories, and serves as the President for the Waterski and Wakeboard Club. The university truly offers a range of activities that suit her interests. For Elaine Jordan, the sky is the limit at the University of Iowa!
