Joby Schraier explains what separates a good manager from an effective one, and why they are important.

The world of management is one that can be very dubious and complicated, something that Joby Schraier has found out from personal experience on many occasions. That is a thing of the past however, as he has currently been working in the managerial field for over twenty years now, developing a firm grasp of what it takes to lead a team of employees and motivate them to get the job done in a timely and professional manner. He says that proper management of employees is about understanding what they want, as well as what the business wants and needs from them.

Joby Schraier says that any business who is unwilling to work with their employees to find a happy medium of the business’s wants versus the employee ones, is doomed to fail. He has often found too that this works in the inverse way as well, and uncooperative employees who are simply unwilling to compromise or to be reasoned with, simply cannot be saved, and need to be gotten rid of. Joby says that this kind of cleaning house is the first step towards employing a good and lasting management team that acts as the medium between the business and the employees. Once you get rid of the troublesome apples from both sides, you can then begin to nourish and develop the remaining towards the original goals that you had in mind.

Joby Schraier says that one of the most important aspects to understand in management is that people inherently do not like to be told what to do, but do like to know the best way to get something done. That is why the most effective and experienced managers in the world do not tell their employees how to do something, but instead show them. This makes it not so much a command that must be followed, but a general rule that makes lives easier for everyone. Employees often respond positively to this method Joby finds, because it takes off the table the idea of submissiveness and a need for a hierarchy, instead focusing primarily on the most effective means to get the job done, something that is naturally demonstrated by the person with the most experience and knowledge in the field.
