Katerina Baitinger has been an esteemed presenter at many academic conferences and workshops. She has participated in several national and international conferences regarding the enhancement of teaching and learning environments, including symposia held at The City University of London and Capital Community College in Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland. One of the most recent events Katerina Baitinger spoke at was called, “It Takes a Village to Go from Ambivalence to Certainty – Kean University’s Assessment Paradigm: Establishing Clear Outcomes, Linking Outcomes to Recourse Allocation, and Closing the Assessment Loop.”

Katerina Baitinger was also part of the Digital Age Learning Series, where she presented her paper, “Multiple Intelligences, Humor, and Technology in the Classroom: A Practical Approach.” Her work was an extension of the theory of multiple intelligence first identified by Howard Gardner, a Developmental Psychologist at Harvard University. Dr. Gardner, Katerina Baitinger-Baitinger wrote, “discovered that human beings have ‘Multiple Intelligences,’” the notion that intelligence is not a single ability. “At first, Gardner clearly documented seven multiple intelligences which learners may utilize to gain knowledge,” Katerina Baitinger-Baitinger went on. Gardner then added two more.

“Since learning environments in the college classroom are mostly instructor designed and directed,” Katerina Baitinger wrote, “the drive to devise and implement instruction technologies, strategies, and materials that would address all students’ learning needs, through the use of humor...appears exceedingly promising.”
Aside from presentations and workshops, Katerina Baitinger is also lauded for her academic papers, which have been published in respected journals and publications across the country. Katerina Baitinger works to improve higher education by spreading new ideas and the latest research available today.
