Like any other girl her age, a young Lisandra Delgado Alicea was excited about Christmas. It was a day of celebration and excitement, and more so, there would be gifts to open. She was right on all fronts, except that one particular gift would mark the beginning of a musical journey like no other. Lisandra immediately fell in love with the guitar she received that Christmas. It was special to her, and from that day forth, she set about to become the best guitar player she could ever be.

Looking back, Lisandra Delgado Alicea appreciates her small beginnings into the world of music. As she became good at playing the guitar, she would often entertain family and friends. However, by the age of 10, people were so captivated by her talent; they would offer money towards Lisandra’s college fund. At that point, both she and her family realized she really was talented.

Along the way, Lisandra has appreciated the inspiration she has drawn from music legends such as Eric Clapton and Jimmy Hendrix. An artist in her position must have a goal to aspire to, and for her, becoming half as great as these industry legends would be a significant achievement. But she wants to be herself most of all, and she’s working towards that with unmatched determination.

For the time being, Lisandra Delgado Alicea is appreciative of the path she has taken. She already is an emerging star, having put together a string of performances with numerous well-known groups on the national circuit. Throw in some late night television appearances, and one could say she’s dress- rehearsing for that day in the future when she will be the main draw. She has attended the University of Colorado, where she picked up valuable knowledge in Music Theory.

Having toured Nashville, Tennessee recently, Lisandra Delgado Alicea is hard at work putting together what she hopes will be a debut album for the ages. It’s a blend of musical styles that she hopes will appeal to fans across the country, regardless of music preference.
