Peter Lord of Canbet is a professional business consultant who lives and works in New South Wales. He is celebrating the five-year anniversary of one of his most successful corporate consulting campaigns.

In 2009, Peter Lord of Canbet hired on as a consulting Chairman at Nature Vet, the leading Australian veterinary pharmaceutical manufacture in the equine industry. “My role was to improve productivity, corporatize the business and instigate a successful exit strategy within three years,” Peter Lord of Canbet recalls. “All three were achieved within a nine month process, with Nature Vet being sold to French corporate Ceva Animal Health.”

The acquisition of Nature Vet by Ceva Animal Health marked the transition of a successful equine pharmaceutical company that had its origins as an equine veterinary practice. The goal of Nature Vet has always been to develop, manufacture, and deliver high quality, innovative animal health products. “It has a product range of over one hundred products,” Peter Lord of Canbet explains, “and distributes into every major racing and equestrian country in the world.”

Nature Vet was formed in 1983 to develop new, natural products for the equine industry. The company grew and expanded over the next fifteen years, says Peter Lord of Canbet, and in 1999 purchased Biochemical Veterinary Research Pty. Ltd., which expanded Nature Vet’s product range, and its key academic research and development relationships.

The Company continued its expansion, Peter Lord of Canbet explains, and in 2002 consolidated its activities in a new location at Glenorie, a north‐west suburb of Sydney, Australia. This site is a GMP accredited facility with sufficient potential to continue the Company's planned expansion.

Peter Lord of Canbet is a member of the Victoria Horse Owners Association, an important organization for promoting racing clubs in Victoria. Peter Lord of Canbet in 2010 brought Unusual Suspect, a U.S. based galloper, to Australia where he ran in some of the world’s greatest races including the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups. As a member of the community of horse owners, Peter Lord of Canbet participates in developing a strong and respectful racing culture in Australia.

Peter Lord of Canbet has been a professional business consultant for more than twenty years. He attended the University of Wollongong , where he earned a Bachelor of Education degree, and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, or FINSIA, where he received a Diploma of Financial Markets.
