Recently, Paul Bunton and BCA Architects hosted the 10th Annual Client Appreciation Golf Tournament. This tournament was held both to celebrate 25 years of BCA Architects, which was founded by Paul Bunton, and to raise money for a local charity, CASA. CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate Association of California, received $1,400 from the tournament, which 80 golfers took part in. Paul Bunton was proud to continue his company’s tradition of giving back to the community, not only through building it, but also by supporting it financially.
When asked about the success of the tournament, Paul Bunton stated, “I am extremely proud of BCA Architects for not just surviving during the past 25 years, but thriving. Our company has continued to grow and change with the times, using new technology and greener methods of building. I am glad that we were able to support a much-needed local charity, CASA, through our celebration.”
The theme of the tournament was “Emerging Greens,” which was intended to reflect both the recovering economy and BCA Architects’ mission to being more sustainable. In the past, Paul Bunton and BCA Architects have also received the Green Project of the Year Award from San Jose Business Journal. Paul Bunton performs much architectural work in both the educational and community living sectors. In his designs, Paul Bunton always strives to incorporate new technology and green methods, which he believes are the future of architecture.
While celebrating the achievements of BCA Architects and Paul Bunton, this golf tournament raised a total of $1,400 for CASA. CASA is a national association consisting of a network of 933 programs intended to aid abused and neglected children in legal settings. These programs take part in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, who are then appointed by judges to act as child caretakers and advocates.
By having a CASA advocate, children are less likely to become lost in the legal and social services systems, preventing them from being placed in unsafe foster or group homes. CASA helps these children by finding them safe, permanent homes for the future. Paul Bunton is a major supporter of charities that help children, and he was proud to present CASA with the money raised by the golf tournament.
