Monterey, CA (July 7, 2016) - Author Clay Shannon has officially launched a Kickstarter campaign for garnering widespread support and financial backing for the writing and publishing of ‘THE BEST PLACES TO RETIRE IN BAJA CALIFORNIA’. Funds from the Kickstarter campaign are set to be used for researching, editing, illustrating and publishing the book.

Created to spark people's interest, awareness and excitement of possible expatriate retirement opportunities, ‘Best Places’ is a creation inspired by and drawing from the author’s extensive experience traveling in Baja California.

‘Best Places’ divides its focus on the five main regions of Baja; the U.S. Border, the Pacific (West) Coast, the Gulf of California/Sea of Cortez (East) Coast, the Inland desert and the Southern Tip (Cabo San Lucas and its environs), providing insights into the cities and major towns within the regions under discussion. From Climate and Cost of Living, to Medical Care, Transportation and Recreational Opportunities, ‘The Best Places to Retire in Baja California’ is a comprehensive guide for the potential ex-pat. According to author Clay Shannon, "[The Book] will provide you with the information you need to know to determine whether Baja California would be a good destination for you, and if so, help you narrow down your choice of locations within Baja to explore before making a decision.”

The majority of the funds raised for this Kickstarter project will be used for researching (including visiting the areas reported on), editing and illustrating the book, and reward production. The author promises supporters of the campaign will get rewards ranging from a downloadable electronic version of ‘The Best Places to Retire in Baja California’ for a $20 dollar pledge, to both an electronic and printed 1st Edition of the book for a $50 dollar or greater pledge of support.
