The kind and gentle Audai Shakour hailed from Mountain View, California. His leadership qualities allowed him to represent college and high school student bodies as president. He even began his career in politics to end homelessness in LA. However, destiny had something else planned for him. To the dismay of his near and dear ones and hundreds around the globe, he passed away at the young age of 36. The Audai Shakour Foundation was founded to bring Audai’s dreams to reality even after his passing.
What Does the Foundation Do?
Audai always wanted to work for the less fortunate. As a child, he never missed an opportunity to help people in distress. During those days, he had to seek assistance from his parents. However, once grown up, he was always proactive in planning good things for the destitute. So, no one was surprised when the close ones of Audai decided to establish the Audai Shakour Foundation after his death.
The foundation is engaged in a wide range of projects. The most crucial ones among them are projects that operate to provide clean drinking water and water for irrigation to various impoverished communities around the world.
The Audai Foundation also has projects that promote multiple social welfare programs. The programs are designed to provide various disadvantaged communities with clothes, health care, food, home development, educational services, and more. These programs also work to ensure the overall well-being of animals domesticated by these communities.
Recent Works by the Audai Shakour Foundation
The foundation is not very old but has already done some serious work. Recently, it introduced a scholarship fund at George Washington University, where Audai studied bachelor’s in international economics. Every year, this memorial scholarship fund will allow students lacking funds for education to get admission to their desired courses.
The other prominent work the foundation is involved in right now is rebuilding roofs damaged in storms. This rebuilding program has been beneficial for hundreds of people living in storm-affected parts of the world.
As mentioned above, Audai always wanted to end homelessness in Los Angeles. So, as expected, people running the foundation are involved in several projects that help people to build homes. These people are also involved in organizing drives to arrange lunch and shower space for the homeless. The foundation has even made a massive contribution to the LA Food Bank, an organization responsible for ensuring uninterrupted food supply to the needy.
One of the most recent achievements of the Audai Shakour Foundation is providing a couple of underprivileged communities with clean drinking water. These people didn’t have access to clean water and also didn’t have the power and funds to change the situation. Audai Foundation successfully solved their problem.
These were just a few examples; the foundation is set to bring in new projects to help the needy. It also encourages people to lend their helping hand by donating in kind.
