Online teaching and learning have created a breakthrough in the education system. The real question here is, are the classrooms, once thought to be the epicenters of knowledge, that created all the leaders, the scientists, and the brilliant minds, the world has ever known, is turning into a room with gadgets, screens, and more screen time? 'ItsMyBot', a California company comes with insightful thinking, in the world where intelligence has become 'artificial' and machines have become 'smarter humans'. Don’t we have the responsibility to evolve?

We had a very interesting conversation with Fazih Keezhattil, co-founder ItsMyBot, where he nicely addressed the real issue. Is there an age to learn anything new in life? We all know how a mentor can inspire us, guide us, and lead us the way.

“At 'ItsMyBot', there's an opportunity for everyone, irrespective of their age. All that matters is their true passion for learning. We learn the kids and structure our curriculum to engage them in the most productive ways”, says Fazih.

Contributing to this cause, the company has plans to distribute free STEM kits and provide free training sessions to the most needful student communities in underprivileged countries like India and some parts of Africa. They have recently announced their 'Buyback and sell' policy where the company retrieves the used STEM kits and resells them for affordable prices.

“Everything is teamwork here, we have teachers and technical content creators with expertise in various disciplines of Science and Engineering from all over the world, we ensure this through an exquisite selection process with a 3% selection rate”, says Mr. Noufal Kandammattil, co-founder ItsMyBot.

It is fascinating to see how they have incorporated STEM kits into their curriculum, storylines become interesting programs, and art and music become challenging projects. Stacking up sensors and motors like assembling mini Lego pieces and creating a 'Robo-friend' is the most exciting part of the process. Although, simplifying the advanced concepts in AI and ML for elementary grade students is one of the major challenges before them. Quoting Mr. Noufal, the students should be able to relate to the concepts, otherwise where is the fun in learning?

They strongly believe that creating challenges is the best way to keep the students tuned to the process. The company is organizing online coding competitions and webinars to encourage learning programming at a younger age. Currently, they have three certified courses in Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of programming.

Fully operational in three countries, early this year, in the month of June, they had announced their advanced courses in Python with AI, ML, and IoT. “Our students and our community love to stay with us, after completing the beginners' course, around 95% of them have enrolled for the next-level courses and we are delighted to see their seamless transitions from block-coding(Scratch) to the syntax-hugging text-coding”, says Ms Kathryn Andrade, VP Human Relations ItsMyBot.

The academy is doing fairly in the United States and the Middle East, as we speak, there are 'first-year celebratory vibes' everywhere, they would like to give all the credits to their unique vision, "We don't change the child, we change ourselves for the child"
