Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) has selected Dr Pritam Pal, Director of RCM as the eastern zone executive board member. On the basis of election conducted by AIMS for new members, he has become the executive board member for 2021-22. It is not the first time that a dignitary from RCM has been selected to be a member of AIMS. Earlier Dr Prabir Pal, Chairman of RCM elected as a President of AIMS for 2010-11.
Elections to the various positions conducted through secret ballot such that the ballot paper not bearing any name or identification is returned by each member exercising his/her vote in a sealed cover bearing the membership number and name of the voting member.
The counting conducted by scrutinizer(s) appointed by the Returning Officer with representative(s) from office of AIMS in the presence of any representative(s) of the candidates present at the time of counting.
The general body of AIMS elects the Executive Board for every year and the New Board takes charge after the AGM adopts the list of newly elected members. The Executive Board comprises the President, the Immediate Past President, the Treasurer, Four Regional Vice Presidents and Nine Members. The tenure of the Board is for one year, normally from August last week till the following AGM held in August.
