Posted May 6, 2022 by TCMcClenning

Expanding into Chattanooga marks the second Tennessee city Mark Spain Real Estate has expanded into so far. Jan Cooper will head the new office and grow the agent team.

When the Mark Spain Real Estate Chattanooga office officially opens May 16, Jan Cooper will be leading the office and sales team. She has been brought in as Director of Sales for the Chattanooga market, the 9th major Southeastern metropolitan market for Mark Spain Real Estate.

Cooper brings more than a decade of leadership, sales team management, and team building experience to this new position. In other award-winning management roles, she has consistently provided the support, training, motivation and coaching to increase sales team performance and retain top salespeople.

“Jan is a great addition to our leadership team, and we are excited for her to help us open our Chattanooga office,” said President and CEO John Makarewicz. “She is goal-oriented, an excellent communicator and an effective leader.”

The new Mark Spain Real Estate office will be located at 200 W Martin Luther King Blvd Suite 100, near downtown Chattanooga.

Expansion into the Chattanooga real estate market is the third city this year in which Mark Spain Real Estate has opened a new office. By mid-year, it plans to open five new Southeastern locations and will have expanded to 16 offices in six states.

Last year was one of unprecedented growth for Mark Spain Real Estate, jumping from $1.4 billion in annual gross sales in 2020 to $3.3 billion in 2021. It has earned the No. 1 real estate team ranking in the U.S. for closed transactions by The Wall Street Journal and Real Trends for the last four straight years, selling more homes than any other Realtor or team in the nation. Mark Spain Real Estate is also a six-time Inc. 5000 recipient, an annual list honoring the fastest-growing private companies in the country.

Greater Chattanooga home buyers and home sellers will be most interested to learn how Mark Spain Real Estate differs from traditional real estate brokerages. All agents at Mark Spain Real Estate work as a team to serve clients and provide an unparalleled client experience. Its agents serve clients on only one side of a transaction, which allows clients’ goals to remain the top priority, unlike at traditional brokerages where an agent can represent both the buyer and seller in a sale and potentially create a conflict of interest. Every agent receives hundreds of hours of ongoing training annually from Mark Spain Real Estate’s in-house training department.

One of the company’s core values is to remain client-focused, and, as a result, Mark Spain Real Estate has earned nearly 10,000 5-star reviews and is the No. 1 most reviewed real estate firm in the United States. Mark Spain Real Estate also offers a unique Guaranteed Offer program for home sellers, allowing them the opportunity of a hassle-free, no showings sale. This program allows homeowners to sell their home in as little as 21 days or, in a competitive market like the nation is currently experiencing, they can remain in their home until after they find a new home.
